We were at the British Essential Oils Association‘s annual symposium on Friday the 11th of April and enjoyed lectures on the state of the Egyptian essential oil industry (Hussein Fakhry), English lavender farming (Arthur Phillips), spearmint oil (Steve Smith), cedarwood oils (Kim and Gillian Bleimann); and on the current situation with orange oil (Nick Evans).
These types of events are extremely useful for keeping up-to-date with issues affecting essential oil production – diseases, political influences and the environment. The social aspect isn’t bad either; our team was part of the almost-winning table seven in the essential oils version of a pub quiz (we came second).
